Isobel Afonte & Simon Anke - creating alternative pop since 2022

LÜX is a wild dance between exuberant alternative pop arrangements and fragile minimalism. LÜX sounds as if Tori Amos and Janelle Monáe got together to write songs and listened to Björk all evening beforehand.
After the release of their EP "UNCOVER" in 2023 and the record release show at Maschinenhaus/Kulturbrauerei Berlin, the year 2024 begins for LÜX with a monthly unplugged concert series.

Swing embodies the pop music of its era, filling ballrooms on Saturday nights, as people danced to its hot and electrifying rhythms. This music evokes a pure celebration of life and now it’s making a vibrant comeback. The essence of Swing and the nostalgic aura of the 50s reappear in a 2023 outfit, accompanied by a captivating sound and urban stories narrated by Swing Artist Björn Bergmann.

Film score & corporate music

I love bringing music to pictures. With Maurice Mersinger I composed the score for the 66min movie LIEBLINGSMENSCHEN by Vlady Oszkiel.

Studio collaborations

As a composer and co-writer I work with artists and styles varying from NY born Soul Queen Jocelyn B. Smith to Trance Producer & DJ Dennis Sheperd. These collaborations can happen live in the studio, online via zoom and instant file sharing or remotely via email and wetransfer.

As a studio musician I add piano, keyboards and synths to productions of any genres, from Blues/Jazz to Soul/RnB or Pop music. This also works easily in remote sessions online.
